This course aims to build your understanding and capacity to identify vulnerable children. You can then reflect on how you and your organisation can better support parents and families with a view to improving the mental health outcomes of infants and children.

The course will explore the impact of parental vulnerabilities on the social and emotional wellbeing of children, help you understand intergenerational issues, consider the parent-child relationship within the context of the ‘whole child’ (ecology, environment, networks), and reflect on the strengths and vulnerabilities surrounding the child.

This course is designed for frontline workers and professionals who work with children, and those who work with adults who look after children.
