To support aspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to engage in psychology education in Australia, psychology curricula and teaching and learning programs should reflect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander worldviews and lived experiences.
Developed by Belle Selkirk, Professor Pat Dudgeon AM and Dr Joanna Alexi from the University of Western Australia, this fact sheet has been designed to support education providers to engage with and include Indigenous knowledges in curricula. It provides guidance, recommendations and frameworks for educators teaching the psychology curriculum to support and inspire the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander psychologists.
