Introducing the Family partnerships for educators toolkit

Family partnerships involve creating a shared understanding of the different areas of a child’s life, to better understand the various factors that might be affecting their wellbeing. Educators are in a unique position to shape children’s mental health and development by creating safe, supportive and nurturing environments.

Our new suite of family partnerships resources introduces the Family Partnerships Practice Model, a four-step model that provides strategies and guidance on setting up, implementing and maintaining effective family partnerships in schools and early learning settings.

This toolkit, designed to support educators in the implementation of the Family Partnerships Practice Model, includes:

  • online courses for early learning and primary school educators
  • a Family Partnerships Guide for educators and leaders
  • a suite of implementation tools.

These resources will support your work in building genuine partnerships with the families at your school or early learning service.
