This workshop is designed for professionals and volunteers working with children and/or their families. It can be completed individually or with a group of workers.
The core outcome of the training is to provide participants with a foundational understanding of trauma and adversity; the impact they can have on children; and the ways in which a trauma-informed approach can support recovery.
An introduction to trauma and adversity is a foundational requirement and will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.
Developed for community-based delivery, the workshop package and resources is comprised of a Facilitator’s Handbook, accompanying presentation slides, optional activities and handouts. As the facilitator, it’s best to start by familiarising yourself with the workshop by viewing the Facilitator’s Handbook.
