Understanding and supporting children’s responses to trauma and adversity: 0-24 months

This workshop is designed for professionals and volunteers working with children and/or their families. It can be completed individually or with a group of workers and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The core outcome of the training is to support professionals and volunteers to understand and support children aged 0-24 months who have experienced trauma and adversity.

An introduction to trauma and adversity is a foundational requirement to be undertaken prior to this workshop and will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.

Developed for community-based delivery, the workshop package and resources is comprised of a Facilitator’s Handbook, accompanying presentation slides, optional activities and handouts. As the facilitator, it’s best to start by familiarising yourself with the workshop by viewing the Facilitator’s Handbook.
