Emerging Minds online courses are now also available as SCORM files

Your workplace can now embed our courses into your learning management system (LMS)! 

If your workplace requires training to sit within an existing SCORM-compliant learning management system, our Emerging Minds courses can now be available in your course catalogue and completed within your internal system.

FAQs

  • SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a set of technical standards for e-learning software products. A SCORM file is a zip package containing this content to communicate with a Learning Management System (LMS). It allows for tracking of user progress and completion status across different, compatible LMS platforms.

  • The content is the same, the difference is how and where the course is accessed.  

    • Emerging Minds Learning courses are completed on our own safe, online platform. Users simply register and access the required courses directly through Emerging Minds Learning.
    • SCORM courses can be exported and hosted onto another LMS platform that is SCORM-compatible. This may be your internal workplace system with all your staff training in the one place. 

     

  • If your workplace uses your own LMS and must host your training internally, SCORM may be the right option for you. For all other organisations, we recommend you engage with Emerging Minds Learning – it’s ready for you to use today, safe, and free to use!

  • Check with your IT department or L&D Lead to confirm which version is compatible e.g. SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004.

  • Our Workplace Dashboard tool is designed to enhance organisational practice development and quality improvement and track your team’s progress and generate reports from the individual to organisational level. You can sign up as a team admin to assign pathways and courses to staff and invite them as users.

  • No, like our Workplace Dashboard tool, there are no costs involved to host our SCORM files.

  • With these courses being managed within your own LMS, Emerging Minds does not receive individual user data, however we may optionally request course completion data for internal reporting purposes.
