The Best of Times, the Worst of Times: Our Family’s Journey with Bipolar

Jessica Rowe, Penelope Rowe, Australia, 2005

This book (175 pages) is an honest and inspiring personal account of living with bipoloar disorder, written from the perspective of mum Penelope Rowe, and her daughter Jessica Rowe. Penelope has lived with bipolar disorder for over 45 years, although she was not diagnosed until her early thirties. Jessica has lived with it all her life – as the eldest child of an unwell mother.

This is their story about coping with an unpredictable enemy, and the way in which, with the support of family and friends, they managed to get through each day and survive.
