Mental Health Resilience in the Adolescent Offspring of Parents with Depression: A Prospective Longitudinal Study

This Lancet Journal of Psychiatry report focuses on adolescent resilience where teens have a parent with depression. ‘Whilst adolescent mental health problems are common, they are not inevitable, even when parental depression is severe and recurrent.’ Findings suggest that prevention programmes can enhance multiple protective factors across different domains of functioning.
