This episode is the final in a two-part series on childhood bullying.

In these episodes, we explore the dynamics for both children who experience bullying and those who engage in bullying behaviour.

Part two focuses on when a child engages in bullying behaviour and how parents can approach this behaviour with their child.

This series explores the complex issue of childhood bullying with clinical psychologist, Jessica Staniland. As the Director of Counselling and Psychological Services at Trinity Grammar School, Jessica has extensive experience in supporting children and young people who engage in and also experience bullying behaviour.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • about signs your child may be engaging in bullying behaviour [00:39]
  • the role schools play in managing bullying behaviour [05:00]
  • what you can do with your child from a young age to help them understand bullying behaviour is not appropriate [06:42]
  • how to have conversations with your child if they are engaging in bullying behaviour and some examples of age-appropriate consequences [08:15]
